The Company commenced operations in the year 2004 by acquiring a RM1.5 million state-of-the- art drum-mix asphalt plant located on a leased site just off a quarry owned by Otentik Sdn Bhd, which supplies all the plant’s raw materials. The fully computerized plant enables almost 100% accuracy in complying with Client’s specifications or approved design mixes, which results in better and higher quality roads.

Astenpave Sdn Bhd was incorporated in 2004. Today, its operations cover the west, north and east coast of Sabah.

Astenpave Sdn Bhd’s primary business of supply & laying of asphaltic concrete gained firm footing with a contract from Lintasan Resources Sdn Bhd, the road concessionnaire for the maintenance of federal roads on the West Coast of Sabah. With its extensive fleet of trucks and specialized equipment, Astenpave is able to deliver the hot asphaltic concrete from plant to site without compromising on required temperatures for laying and compaction.

The Company’s long-term objective is to maintain a healthy and planned growth to become an established supplier of good quality asphaltic concrete to meet the growing demands of the industry aimed at providing excellent quality of roads throughout Sabah.

Astenpave employs and maintain its own manpower base ranging from general road layers to production specialists, to ensure quality products are perfectly matched with quality services of the highest order.
